OPEN CLASS RABBITS
Department 108 – Superintendent – Cele Kuehnl – 920-682-9247
1. Open Class Registration Deadline – July 15. 2. Entry Day – Wednesday, August 25, doors will open at 8am in the Poultry and Rabbit Building. All exhibits
must be in place by 6pm. 3. Judging Day– Thursday, August 26, at 1pm. 4. Release Day – Sunday, August 29, from 5:30pm to 8pm. Claim checks will be required to have your rabbits
released. 5. No more than one (1) rabbit of any breed can be entered per lot number per class per exhibitor. 6. No more than four (4) entries per species in classes 105-108. No more than six (6) entries per species in
classes 109-114. 7. Please contact the superintendent by August 1, if exhibitor has a large breed that requires a double cage.
ANY EXHIBITOR THAT MAKES CAGE ALTERATIONS WITHOUT APPROVAL FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT WILL FORFEIT THEIR PREMIUMS. 8. Exhibitor MUST notify the superintendent by August 1, the number of rabbits and their breeds. 9. HEALTH REGULATIONS: See WI County, District, & State Fairs 2021 Animal Health Rules and Regulations located on the Web site. Any required health certificates/copies must remain in the Expo office during the fair. 10. Pen Rent – A pen rent of $.50 per rabbit will be charged and must be paid at the time of registration. 11. Open Class judging is done face to face with Straight Placement Judging. Rabbit is brought to the table by the Exhibitor. Please be present or find someone to present the rabbit or the rabbit will not be judged. 12. The American Standard of Perfection shall govern all specimens entered in this department and will be judged by comparison. Any entries not fitting the class will be disqualified. 13. The Manitowoc County Fair will not be responsible for any loss or damage to stock, but will exercise reasonable care in caring for exhibits. 14. Exhibitors are encouraged to secure cages to prevent vandalism. (Must be unlocked on Judging Day). 15. Each exhibitor must furnish their own feed, provide bedding, as well as clean and care for their own rabbit on a daily basis. Please use shavings only as bedding in cages. Straw, hay or cedar shavings MUST NOT be used for bedding. 16. NO ANIMAL(S) SHALL BE SOLD IN OR FROM THE POULTRY AND RABBIT BUILDING DURING THE FAIR. A BULLETIN BOARD IS PROVIDED FOR ADVERTISING OF ANIMALS. ANY ANIMAL SELLING CAN BE DONE ON SUNDAY AFTER 6PM.
