Features
Scotch® Ultimate Paint Edge Masking Tape 2460 uses a thin, yet strong, smooth flat back paper that when used for paint masking gives a sharp paint line with a low paint ridge. This backing simplifies the task of making long straight lines but still incorporates the easy of being torn by hand. The acrylic adhesive holds on contact to many surfaces, yet peels away smoothly and cleanly.

* Has been laboratory tested on stainless steel and found to remove cleanly at bake temperatures of up to 300ºF
(149ºC) for 30 minutes. The actual temperature and time performance may be higher or lower for a given application.
Clean removal can vary dependent on surface type, processing conditions such as multiple bakes, type of paint
involved as well as the temperature of the surface at removal. We recommend testing the product under your
conditions to determine if it meets your needs.
• Acrylic adhesive provides good instant adhesion that minimizes adhesion build over time.
• Easy unwind from roll reduces worker fatigue when applying the tape. • Resists lifting and curling due to the good holding power of the adhesive. • Holds well to 3M gross masking papers, films, and bags to protect from paint
overspray. • Dispenses well on 3M gross masking dispenser machines • Saturated flat back paper backing provides strength for easy handling and
application. • Tears easily by hand to reduce waste and provide ease of application and handling. • Solvent and moisture resistant to provide paint bleed through resistance in
application. • Paint anchors well to the tape backing reducing possibility of paint flaking debris. • Translucent backing aids in seeing when the tape has been properly rubbed down
to give best paint line. • Distinctive yellow color backing makes it easy to identify what tape is being used.

Store under normal conditions of 70ºF (21ºC) and 50% R.H. in the original carton.
